Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye (/ˈvig̃ɘ/ /ˈrëje/ [aroused (sexually)] [fungus]) is a subtropical City located in the Vapíatacê Zone of the Engineer's Guild.
The name Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye is derived from the Sylvin language, as Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye was founded by Zhadih, who was culturaly Iron Elf.
Climate
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 18°C (64°F). Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye receives an average of 233 cm/y (91 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye covers an area of nearly 49 km2 (19 mi2), and an average elevation of 1686 m (5531 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1378, by Zhadih. The establishment of Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye's construction back out of the project. Zhadih pushed on reguardles, and Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt flagstone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The would-be-castle fortifications has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.
A look around Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do.

Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the City. Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye's natural decorations nor waterways.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Life is hard in Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye. Its people are impoverished compared to their peers elsewhere. Something is making the locals stay, however, whether fear of the alternative, hope for a better future, or a stubborn attachment to their ancestral lands. Whatver the reason, living in this harsh area for generations has made the people of Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye a notably resourceful and hearty people.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .
In Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye rain occurs in reverse with water pooling up from the earth then falling into the skies to from clouds, this unsettles every visitor that sees it.
The Thorn Dog, Royal near Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye are known to be quite timid.
Êkèkê Vig̈ê-rëye's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves performance art to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 1 via oath swearing.
